Illiana Motor Speedway Divisions
The Super Late Model class is the premiere division at Illiana Motor Speedway. These cars are fabricated from the ground up and utilize fiberglass bodies. They run on 10 inch slicks & weigh in as little as 2,800 pounds. Their short wheelbase and high powered engines make them the fastest class on the half mile.
The Limited Late Model is unique to
Illiana Motor Speedway. Designed as a more affordable alternative to the Super Late Models, this class uses a number of spec components and places more emphasis on chassis setup and driving skill to attain victory. This class is a stepping stone to the
Super Late Model class.
The 4 Cylinder Pure Stock class is the most affordable racing machine to take to the track. In just one year, this class has gone from being a novelty to becoming the place where many drivers begin their transition from fans and crew members to race car drivers. Fun and affordable, these cars are a crowd favorite.
The Turbo Stox class is our top division on the 1/4 mile. A great class for Pure Stock & V-8 Enduro drivers to graduate into after a year or two of getting their feet wet and a great stepping stone to a division that runs on the 1/2 mile. Frames are mostly stock with a few exceptions. Engines are more restricted than Mid-American motors. Tires are a Hoosier racing tire compound and are 7 inches wide.
It's always a sell out crowd when the
Figure 8 Bus Race takes to the track.
Up to 24 busses take the green flag and if we're lucky there is at least one bus left at the end of the advertised 25 lap feature. Lots of carnage in this one as busses meet in the "X".
Bring your own bus to race or rent one from the track and either way you'll have fun.
A new event run on Crashfest nights is the
Trailer Race which takes any size car stripped out with any type of trailer on the back.
The winner is the last one standing with a trailer still attached to their car.
Lots of wrecking with this event and the track looks like a tornado hit when this race is over.
